Bezaleel has been the home of two of our Sovereign Grand Commanders—Sovereign Grand Commander Leland D. French 33° (1965—1973) and Sovereign Grand Commander Samuel Brogdon Jr. 33° (1992—2004).  Bezaleel shares that distinction with four other Consistories:

DeMolay Consistory No. 1, Holy See of Philadelphia, Orient of Pennsylvania;

King David Consistory No. 3, Valley of New York City, Orient of New York;

Wolverine Consistory No. 6, Valley of Detroit, Orient of Michigan;

New Haven Consistory No. 7, Valley of New Haven, Orient of Connecticut

From S.G.I.G. Harry E. Davis 33° to Sovereign Grand Commander Leland D. French 33° to S.G.I.G. Harry E. Davis 33° to G.I.G. Perry B. Jackson 33° to Sovereign Grand Commander Samuel Brogdon Jr. 33° through S.G.I.G. Charles W. Hales 33° and extending to Most Illustrious Commander-in-Chief and Deputy for the Orient of Ohio, S.G.I.G. Carl A. Williams 33°…what do all these men have in common?  Membership in Bezaleel Consistory No.  15.

Bezaleel Consistory No. 15, in its 116th year of existence, has been at the forefront of policy, politics, and favor of Scottish Rite freemasonry in the Northern Jurisdiction for more than 100 years, and we continue to progress onward and upward.  If that unassisted opinion of fact is not sufficient, take this passage from a book published almost 50 years ago:

The history of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Cleveland, in the state of Ohio and throughout the entire Scottish Rite Jurisdiction of Prince Hall Affiliation has been generously supported and promoted by the dedicated efforts of several Fraters holding membership in Bezaleel Consistory No. 15.

Bezaleel is currently the second-largest Consistory in the Northern Jurisdiction.
